We’ve been busy planning the new calendar of classes and hope that you find them exciting and stimulating. Many classes filled quickly, so don’t wait too long to sign up for your favorite! We’re always open until 8pm on Thursdays, but check with us on other nights (Mon – Wed), as we are often here late teaching. Don’t forget that from 5 – 8 pm every Thursday is “Open Knitting” where there is good camaraderie and help if you need it. Mini lessons are $5. In addition, you can come in on Saturday mornings from 10 – 12 to knit with us, too.
Please note: Class fees are due upon registration. 48 hours notice required for cancellation refunds. Gift certificates will be issued in lieu of a refund on class fees. All materials for classes must be purchased at Clever Ewe before class.
LEARN TO KNIT—All the basics of knitting are covered in this ever-popular class – and you’ll produce a great felted tote bag even if you’ve never knit before.

LEARN TO CROCHET – Learn the basics of crochet as you create a fun, chic, but simple “disc” bag! This project is easy to create, yet makes you look like an expert! All the fundamentals of crochet are covered.

SOCKS!
Learn the techniques of knitting in the round on double point needles or on circular needles. You can make luxurious hand-knit socks for everyone. Great yarns from which to choose!

RIBBON EMBROIDERY
Join Sue for this embroidery class so that you can embellish any sweater or garment where you would like “a little something extra”.
Sewing skills are helpful, but not required. One – 90 minute class $20 includes materials

LACY TOP
Knitted lace is so-o-o stylish. Learn a little bit of lace knitting as you knit a gorgeous little top to dress up or down—to wear alone or under a jacket. Homework must be done before class.

BABY SURPRISE
Knit this Elizabeth Zimmerman baby jacket that only has shoulder seams! It’s all knnit – no purling – in one piece, but there is a little bit of shaping. This is a fun, easy project – perfect for your first sweater.

SUMMER SHELL
Choose from easy to knit patterns to mak a quick shell to wear under a jacket or sweater or with a pair of cropped pants. Whatever the occasion, it can be ready to go. Using one of the new fabulous cotton blend yarns that are here, you are sure to be in fashion. This is a great first project!

RIB WARMER
This Elizabeth Zimmer designed vest is always a fabulous addition to your wardrobe. It’s knit in one piece so there are only shoulder seams to consider (and even those don’t have to be sewn!). It’s a fabulous lesson in short row shaping. (It’s ok if you are not sure what that is—it’s part of the class!) It can be knit in any self- striping or other worsted weight yarn.

A SWEATER - THE NEXT STEP
From crib to rocker, choose a sweater that might make you think a little harder! We have lots of suggestions from a little bit of open work or intarsia or Fair Isle to cables. We’ll help you select an appropriate pattern and yarn to take the next step!

MITTENS

You never know how cold Michigan winters are going to be, so BE PREPARED with a pair or two of mittens. You can choose felted or non-felted. Make them to match your hat!

FELTED ORNAMENTS
We have a line-up of several miniature ornaments to knit and felt. Make one or make them all! This is a terrific way to use up leftovers from other projects. You can even do a little needle felting on them to finish the details.
